Here are some examples of how your generosity can help CARE Australia help women and children out of poverty:
$10 will allow CARE to purchase School books - Every child deserves the chance to learn how to read. Ten dollars can provide school books to a child in their native language
$29 will allow CARE Australia to provide a high school starter pack -
Prepare a girl for high school by providing her with a uniform, backpack, textbooks and the materials she needs to get the best start.
$40 can provide a well and pump for clean water.
$44 will help teach an adult to read and write - Many adults living in poverty have never had an education. This gift will provide an adult literacy volunteer with the equipment they need to help other adults learn how to read and write.
$69 will enable CARE Australia to send a girl to school - Around 70 per cent of the world’s out-of-school young people are girls. Provide one girl with everything she needs to attend school for a year and she will have a better chance to grow up to earn an income, be healthy and educate her own children.
$80 can help provide nutritious meals for children.
$207 can provide one year’s education for three women.
$330 Give the greatest education gift of all: train a teacher so they can pass on their knowledge to the future generation and earn an income for themselves.
$540 can help provide five CARE disease prevention kits.
$750 can help with the clearance of landmines.

'Where will the fundraising proceeds of this challenge go?'
The funds raised in the challenge will be dedicated to CARE Australia programs in Timor Leste.
CARE Australia spent 88% of total expenditure on overseas programs in 2012, 7% on fundraising and only 5% being used towards administration.
"CARE International has ranked seventh among 100 non-government organisations (NGOs), according to the Top 100 NGOs list of the Global Journal. CARE was also globally ranked second among NGOs involved in humanitarian relief work.
The Global Journal’s ranking of top 100 NGOs is the only international ranking of its kind, according to the magazine and informs policy-makers, academics, business and non-profit leaders. CARE Australia - News"
